it may not be just your sex drive

I can help you understand what’s beneath the surface - so you can move from shame, guilt and frustration to clarity and control. Evidence-based counseling (EN/DE). Built on trust.

you may recognize some of this

It is often about more than porn

Compulsive porn use is often misunderstood. What looks like “just desire” on the surface can actually become a way of regulating tension, avoiding difficult emotions, escaping pressure, or creating brief moments of relief.

That does not mean something is fundamentally wrong with you. It means the behavior may have taken on a function in your psychological life. If that function remains unseen, the pattern often continues — even when you genuinely want to stop.

Real change usually starts not with more self-criticism, but with understanding: what triggers the behavior, what it helps you avoid, and what keeps the cycle in place.

How I can help

  • 5 to 10 sessions

  • Understand the pattern

  • Strengthen self-regulation

  • Gain orientation

  • Work through shame

  • Rebuild clarity and intimacy

We look beyond the behavior itself and explore the pattern around it — triggers, emotional states, shame, avoidance, stress, self-image, sexuality and the moments in which the urge becomes strongest.

The aim is not simply to fight the problem with willpower. It is to understand the function the behavior has taken on, reduce shame, strengthen self-regulation, and build more stable alternatives.

In a focused process of 5 to 10 sessions, we work through these patterns in depth. Where further psychotherapy or longer-term support would be beneficial, I can help you find the right next step and a suitable therapist.

about me

I hold a Master’s degree in Psychology and work with people who want to better understand and change compulsive patterns around pornography, shame, avoidance, sexuality and emotional regulation. My approach is calm, structured, and grounded in psychological understanding.

Many people seek help only after a long period of self-doubt, secrecy, or unsuccessful attempts to manage the problem alone. I offer a professional and non-judgmental space in which these patterns can be understood more clearly and approached with seriousness and care.

Where longer-term psychotherapy or additional support would be beneficial, I can also help you orient yourself toward the right next step and a suitable therapist.
